DESCRIPTION:
The SXPRO IC is a
high-performance 8-bit microcontroller operating at the maximum 50Mhz
oscillator frequency. Smart Algorithm Programming is employed to allow
the Dreamcast System to load both NTSC US & Japanese games automatically.
The SXPRO IC is designed to be piggy-backed (mounted) on top of the
Dreamcast 44-pin surface mount ROM Bios. It is compatible with both US and
Japanese systems. Automatic detection of the type of ROM Bios means that you
don't have to worry about which versions of system or ROM Bios you have - only
one simple easy method of installation regardless. While we fully disclose to
you the type of device we use and its method of installation, others have tried
everything to conceal not only the name of the device but also the installation
procedures, because they fear that once you see how difficult their method is,
you might change your mind about purchasing their kit.
